John Winn
John Winn is the Chief Program Officer for AP and pre-AP Courses for the National Mathematics and Science Initiative and member of the Foundation for Florida’s Future board of directors.  He has a distinguished career in teaching and education policy and a lifelong commitment to ensuring every child has access to a quality education.  Winn served within the Florida Department of Education for decades until 2007, when he retired from being the Commissioner of Education.  He also served as Education Policy Coordinator for Governor Jeb Bush where he drafted and directed the A+ Plan for Education, One Florida programs, K-20 education system, and charter district legislation.
