Mike Petrilli

Mike Petrilli is Executive Vice President at the Thomas B. Fordham Institute, where he is responsible for the organization’s day-to-day management and oversees its national research and policy initiatives. He is also a research fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution and Executive Editor of Education Next.  Petrilli co-authored, No Child Left Behind: A Primer with Frederick M. Hess and is a frequent contributor to the Institute’s Education Gadfly newsletter and Flypaper blog.  Petrilli started his career as a teacher and has served as an Associate Assistant Deputy Secretary in the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Innovation and Improvement and a vice president at K12.com.
