Student-Centered Policy is Now Law in Kansas

“Students will be able to enroll in schools that meet their needs across district lines, earn credit for learning outside the classroom and start with a solid foundation of literacy under this new law.

We are grateful to Speaker Ron Ryckman, President Ty Masterson, Senate Education Chair Molly Baumgardner and Rep. Kristey Williams for putting students first, and to Gov. Laura Kelly for enshrining their efforts in Kansas statutes.

We look forward to engaging with all of our partners to ensure the implementation of this new law lives up to its transformational potential.”
