Suela Cela serves as the Policy Director for College and Career Pathways at ExcelinEd. She previously served as Senior Policy Associate for Advance CTE, supporting state CTE Directors and other state CTE leaders in advancing high quality and equitable CTE policies, programs and pathways.
Prior to that, Suela spent almost a decade in various roles at Dawson Community College (DCC), including as the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs where she led multiple career-technical and transfer programs and led the institution’s student affairs’ office. While at DCC, Suela started the dual enrollment program, supported the Montana University System in the review of the statewide dual enrollment guidelines, led the institution’s reaccreditation process and served as a peer accreditation reviewer for Northwest Commission of College and Universities (NWCCU).
Suela earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska and a Master of Public Administration from University of Montana. She and her family live in Southwest Washington.
