Taylor Cairns is the Media Relations Manager for ExcelinEd. He is responsible for developing and implementing the media relations strategy for the organization and is the point of contact for education and government reporters and other media members.
Taylor is an award-winning former television journalist who worked for stations located in Maine, Virginia, Washington D.C. and his home state of Maryland. Prior to joining ExcelinEd, Taylor worked as the Media Producer for the Baltimore Police Department, where he created multimedia projects for the department’s social media channels and worked closely with media outlets in the city.
Taylor has a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Maryland with a minor in creative writing. He lives in Baltimore with his wife, also named Taylor, and their dog, Moxie.
