Natalie Fausel brings over 20 years of experience in advocacy, land use, water resources, and climate resilience policy. She currently serves as the Regional Advocacy Director for the Southwest at ExcelinEd, leading legislative strategy and advocacy efforts to advance student-centered education policy across Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Hawaii.
Before joining ExcelinEd, Natalie represented local governments and private-sector clients across Florida as a Senior Advisor with the Arrow Group, a Tallahassee-based consulting and lobbying firm. Her work focused on securing state appropriations and shaping policy on infrastructure, water, and the environment. She also served as Florida Director of Government Affairs for Renew Financial, advocating for scalable resilience financing solutions.
Natalie previously held key public-sector roles, including Palm Beach County’s first Climate Change and Sustainability Coordinator and Resilience Coordinator for the South Florida Water Management District. During her nine years at the District, she worked on intergovernmental affairs, regional water supply planning, water conservation, and policy development. Her career began in local and regional land use planning.
She holds a B.A. in Marine Affairs from the University of Miami and an M.A. in Marine Affairs from the University of Rhode Island.
