Jordan Zakery

Jordan Zakery is a Regional Advocacy Director for ExcelinEd. In this role, he works with leaders and policymakers in the Ozarks region to promote student-centered solutions focused on educational quality, innovation and opportunity.

Previously, Jordan was a State Relations Director at EdChoice where he served policymakers in several states including New Hampshire, Iowa, Idaho, and many more as a resource in educational choice policy and advocacy for three years. Jordan earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Political Science and his J.D. at the Southern Illinois University School of Law. During his collegiate years, he gained experience working with the United States District Court for Central Illinois, the Macon County State’s Attorney’s Office (IL), Barnes & Thornburg LLP, and the Indiana State Senate.

Jordan is a proud native of Decatur, Illinois where he graduated from Eisenhower High School. He currently lives in Indianapolis. In his free time, he loves attending live sports events and going to 90s R&B concerts.
