2022 National Summit on Education

Celebrating 14 years as ExcelinEd’s flagship initiative, the National Summit on Education convenes the nation’s leaders in education policy to share what works, what doesn’t and what’s next in education. ExcelinEd hosted over 1,100 state and national policymakers, education leaders and advocates from November 16 -18 in Salt Lake City, Utah. For two action-filled days, attendees shared and learned about new trends, successful policies, evolving laws and the latest innovations designed to build a brighter future for America’s families.

Governor Jeb Bush Opening Keynote

Governor Jeb Bush kicked off ExcelinEd’s 14th annual National Summit on Education on November 17 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was joined by The Daniels Fund CEO, Hanna Skandera for discussion where he challenged attendees to be more innovative in educating our children for the world we are moving to and to keep the focus on families and students.

International expert Andreas Schleicher returned to ExcelinEd’s National Summit to share insights on how dozens of countries are performing, intervening and helping students recover from the pandemic. His presentation addressed what high-performing countries have in common as well as the education policies needed to foster improvement.
